Handpoke, or stick and poke tattoos, are non-electric tattoos made using analog tools, such as a single handheld bar needle. It is akin to pointillism, in that every tattoo is made dot by dot, or poke by poke. There are various other methods of non-electric tattooing, including many Indigenous practices from around the world.

Yes, handpoke tattoos can take considerably longer than machine tattoos. I generally recommend setting aside a full day, especially for larger or more complex pieces, as oftentimes it can take several hours or longer.
Occasionally, and depending on the project, we can split your tattoo into multiple sessions.

It varies greatly on the artist and the client! I would like to think I have a particularly gentle hand, and clients often state they are pleasantly surprised by how mild of a sensation it is. However, everyone’s pain thresholds are different, and what doesn’t hurt for someone else might hurt for you.

Make no mistake, handpoke tattoos are still tattoos. This means they are PERMANENT. No, they are not temporary, and no they do not fade away after a couple years. If you take care of your tattoo, your tattoo will last.

YES! I love to do custom designs– We can build on any references and inspiration to create something unique for you. However, if you aren’t sure what you want, no worries! I have plenty of flash and art-book references to choose from.

While tattoos are a luxury, I do my best to make my art as accessible as possible– I charge by piece and not hourly, and will always give you a cost estimate before we schedule an appointment. If you are working with a specific budget just let me know. Below is a general pricing guide:
Please note that I charge a minimum of $100. The more detailed or complex, the higher the cost. This guide may not reflect the final quote for your piece.
Under 2 inches: $100 - 250
3 to 4 inches: $250 - 550
4 to 6 inches: $450 - 700
Over 6 inches: $700+

Once I receive your submission, you can usually expect to hear back from me within a week. I will provide you with a cost quote and some available appointment dates. Please be sure to respond promptly once you receive correspondence from me, as I cannot guarantee provided dates will remain available.

Yes, I charge a non-refundable deposit of %20 of the quoted cost of your piece. This deposit goes toward the final cost of your tattoo and secures your spot in my calendar, as well as protects my business should a client choose to cancel last minute. Upon receiving the deposit, I will forward you studio details and appointment information.
